SightSEO ("we", "our", "us") operates the website sightseo.com and the SightSEO WordPress plugin. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your company name. We use this to provide and manage your account.
Image Data: When you use our alt text generation service, images are sent to our servers for AI processing. We do NOT store your images permanently. Images are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after generating the alt text. We retain only the SHA-256 hash of the image (not the image itself) for our caching feature.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage statistics (number of generations, timestamps, plan type) to improve our service and manage credit usage.
Payment Data: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
We use your information to: provide and maintain our service, process your transactions, send service-related communications (account confirmations, credit alerts), improve our AI models and service quality, and comply with legal obligations.
SightSEO uses third-party AI providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) to analyze images and generate alt text. When an image is processed, it is sent to these providers' APIs for analysis. These providers process the data according to their own privacy policies and do not use your data to train their models when accessed via API.
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Generated alt text results are stored in your usage logs for 90 days. Images are never stored — only processed in real-time. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@sightseo.com.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure of your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@sightseo.com.
We use essential cookies only: session cookies for authentication (httpOnly, secure), a CSRF token for security, and a language preference cookie. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
We implement industry-standard security measures: HTTPS/TLS encryption, httpOnly cookies, CSRF protection, bcrypt password hashing, rate limiting, and security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, CSP). Our infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform with automated backups.
